What Are Cookies?

A cookie is a small text file stored in your browser when you visit a website. They help the website recognise your device and remember information about your visit, such as your preferences and settings.

How we use Cookies

We use cookies for various purposes, including:

Essential Cookies: These are necessary for the operation of our website. They enable basic functions like page navigation and access to secure areas of the website.

Analytical/Performance Cookies: These cookies help us understand how you interact with our website, allowing us to improve its performance and provide you with a better user experience.

Functionality Cookies: These cookies enable us to remember your preferences, such as language or region, to enhance your experience on the website.

Cookies we use

Below is a list of the specific cookies used on our website and their purposes:

Google Analytics
Name: _ga, _gid, _gat
Purpose: These cookies are used to collect information about how visitors use our website. We use this information to compile reports and help us improve our website. The cookies collect information in an anonymous form, including the number of visitors to the site, where visitors have come from, and the pages they visited. More information about Google’s privacy policy is available at: https://www.google.com/policies/privacy/.

Google Maps
Name: NID, AEC, SOCS and other cookies set by Google
Purpose: We use embedded Google Maps on our Contact Us and nursery location pages to show where our nurseries are. When a map loads, Google may set cookies and collect information such as your IP address and how you interact with the map. We only load Google Maps after you have accepted cookies through our cookie banner; until then a placeholder image is shown. More information about Google’s privacy policy is available at: https://policies.google.com/privacy.

Instagram
Name: Cookies set by Instagram (Meta)
Purpose: Our Gallery page shows a feed of photos from our Instagram account. Until you accept cookies, the feed only shows copies of the images stored on our own website and nothing is loaded from Instagram. Once you accept, images and videos may be loaded directly from Instagram’s servers, and Instagram may set cookies and collect information such as your IP address and device details. If you click through to Instagram, its own cookies and privacy policy will apply. More information about Instagram’s privacy policy is available at: https://privacycenter.instagram.com/policy/.
