Aprender juntos

Life After Nursery

A different way to learn, explore and thrive.

Educación en casa

Because we believe every child deserves an education that inspires them.

At Bilingual Day Nurseries, our passion for nurturing curious, confident and independent children doesn't stop at nursery age. For years, parents have asked us to create our own "school" but with many of our families choosing outdoor education above all else and trends of more families home educating, we launched our Home Education sessions at Hill Farm in Packington in 2026.

We're proud to extend our approach to learning through our Home Education Hub in Ashby-de-la-Zouch, providing an exciting, welcoming and supportive environment for home-educated children to learn, socialise, explore and discover their potential.

We understand that every child's educational journey is different. Some children thrive in traditional classrooms, while others benefit from a more flexible, creative and personalised approach.

Our Home Education Hub has been designed to offer just that - a place where children can enjoy meaningful learning experiences, build friendships and develop essential life skills, all while having fun.

Learning Beyond the Classroom

Education should be an adventure, not just a timetable.

We believe some of the most valuable learning experiences happen when children are encouraged to be curious, ask questions and explore the world around them.

Our Home Education Hub combines engaging educational activities with hands-on experiences, creative projects, outdoor adventures and opportunities for children to follow their own interests.

Rather than replicating a traditional school classroom, we aim to create a relaxed, inspiring environment where children feel comfortable being themselves and confident enough to try new things.

Our activities are designed to encourage:

Creativity and imagination

through Spanish, music and practical projects.

Problem-solving and critical thinking

through experiments, challenges and discovery-based learning.

Communication and teamwork

through collaborative activities and group experiences.

Independence and confidence

by encouraging children to make decisions and take ownership of their learning.

Outdoor exploration

through nature-based activities, forest school experiences and hands-on adventures with the farm animals.

Social development

by providing opportunities to build friendships and connect with other home-educated children.

Outdoor Learning Is Part of Who We Are

Muddy boots, fresh air and big discoveries!

Just like at our nurseries, we believe the outdoors offers some of the most exciting opportunities for learning.

Our Home Education Hub embraces outdoor education and forest school principles, giving children opportunities to connect with nature, develop practical skills and experience learning beyond four walls.

From investigating wildlife and exploring the changing seasons to building shelters, working together and solving real-life challenges, our outdoor experiences encourage resilience, creativity and independence.

We embrace outdoor learning throughout the year, with appropriate clothing and safety measures, because we believe every season brings something wonderful to discover.

Un lugar para pertenecer

A Place to Belong

Learning together. Growing together.

One of the most important parts of our Home Education Hub is the opportunity for children to connect with others.

We recognise that home-educating families often look for opportunities where their children can build friendships, develop social confidence and enjoy group experiences while maintaining the flexibility of home education.

Our Hub provides a friendly, inclusive and welcoming environment where children can meet like-minded peers, work together, share ideas and develop a sense of belonging.

Whether they're working on a creative project, taking part in a team challenge or exploring outdoors together, children are encouraged to build positive relationships and celebrate one another's achievements.

Supporting Home-Educating Families

We understand that home education is a personal choice, and every family approaches it differently.

Our Home Education Hub is designed to complement the learning children already experience at home, rather than replace it.

We aim to give families access to enriching activities, experienced educators, social opportunities and an inspiring learning environment, while respecting their individual educational choices.

Whether your child attends regularly or joins us for selected sessions, our aim is to make them feel welcome, supported and excited to return.
